Don't write yourself off as a creative DIY wedding person before you've given yourself the chance to make these incredibly easy DIY wedding candle centrepieces I spotted via the ever inspirational Martha Stewart Weddings website.
Timeless Balloon Decoration
With a classic motif of a hot air balloon, these candles are elegant and would also make great wedding favours.
You don't need to use expensive candles either. Just pop an ordinary white tealight inside each one. In fact, the last thing you need on a dining table is a scented candle (confuses the tastebuds).
What You Need to Make These Candle Wedding Centrepieces
- Ink-jet or laser printer
- White or cream vellum paper (or a pale pastel colour if you prefer) in size 21.5cm x 28cm
- Scissors
- Clear glass tea light holders
- Double-sided tape
How To Make Up The Centrepieces
- Print the PDF file onto the vellum paper
- Cut out the paper candle wraps. If needed, put into an envelope to transport and store until you need them (use a cardboard sided envelope to protect them from bending).
- When it's time to assemble the candles, wrap the vellum around the outside of the tealight holders and fasten neatly with double-sided tape.
