Just because you're on a budget it doesn't mean your wedding has to be dull. Or cheap. Or lacking in flair and style.

In fact, if you're on a limited budget you'll have to work that bit harder - and the extra effort you put in will show itself in a more individual and personal wedding than if you'd just gone out and bought the first thing you saw.

Of course, your budget will follow you at whatever time of year you get married - whether it's spring, summer, autumn or winter.

So to help you along, I've put together this summer wedding ideas budget moodboard with some options for bridesmaid dresses, groomswear, flowers, table decorations, cakes and accessories. And all items are perfect, no matter the budget.

Nude wedding cakes are very on trend - so you could have a simple sponge baked, then filled with icing and decorated with fresh flowers and berries. Ditch the fancy icing to keep costs down.

Instead of formal place settings, tuck an herb or flower into a folded napkin by each guests's place and write a simple label by hand, instead of spending money on printing. (You can write the labels weeks before your wedding so they're ready to go.)

Flowers in summer are plentiful, so buy flowers from your local market and arrange simply in glass jam jars for rustic style table decorations.
