Primrose, buttercup, lemon ... yellow wedding themes just glow and springtime is the perfect time of year to go for this color option.

You'll have your pick of spring blooms

Spring flowers smell beautiful as well as looking fresh and pretty. What choices do you have? We're thinking narcissi and paper whites, daffodils, primroses, tulips. Contrast with blue - little grape hyacinths and possibly some classic white roses. The spring bride featured above has a beautiful bouquet.

As for your tables - think of winter jasmine to add some structure. A long central table decoration looks super stylish and doesn't get in the way of conversation.

And for your bridesmaids? Here we've picked out bridesmaid frocks from Dessy in buttercup, which is a soft, gentle kind of a hue. As ever, you can choose a neckline and length to suit the style of your day (and your maids). And we haven't forgotten your flowergirls either.

You can use yellow as a single color theme or mix it up with white, blues or greys.

It's such an optimistic, happy kind of a color. Light and ideal for a wedding in late morning or afternoon. Especially a barn wedding or one that's rustic style.

Maybe have a dessert table in yellow? Decorate your tables with large lemons placed in glass vases, as above. Have striped yellow straws at a drinks stand.

You could serve citrus flavored drinks and lemon flavored macarons.

Have lemon cakes, tea with slices of lemon instead of milk. Talk to your caterer and your florist about your color theme and see what ideas they have to inspire the proceedings!
