Dessy Group is a global leader in social occasion dresses and wedding apparel distributed through specialty shops and department stores in the United States, Canada, UK, Ireland and Australia.

Dessy Group got its start in 1939. Originally known as A & M Rosenthal, the company produced bridal veils and headpieces designed by Margot Rosenthal. In the 1950s, Margot's daughter Ronnie and her husband Andrew Dessy assumed leadership and added bridal and bridesmaid dresses to the company's lines.

With the third generation, the business became known as The Dessy Group. Alan Dessy and Vivian Dessy Diamond strengthened the focus on bridesmaid dresses and added social occasion dresses and menswear to the lines.

Today Dessy Group is the go-to company for several top brands in wedding and special occasion fashions including Dessy, After Six, and Alfred Sung.

Tony Martin Tuxedo: After Six

After Six

After Six has remained the largest men's formalwear manufacturer from its inception through today. It all began at the turn of the last century when men going formal wore tails and wing collars. Fast-forward to today and the elegant black tuxedo still sends a message of personal style. But as much as fashions have changed, After Six tuxedos have always meant good times and good taste.

Did you know that After Six actually invented tuxedo rentals? Or that the company was the first to bring out a machine-washable tuxedo? And as if that wasn't enough, After Six signed the first Hollywood star, Tony Martin, to appear in its tuxedos. The company took formalwear to the fights in Atlantic City and also put some of the most famous menswear designer labels into tuxedos, like Oscar de la Renta. That's why over the years when the invitation read "Black Tie", After Six was there.

Carlos Saavedra - Loop Dresses

Carlos Saavedra

Carlos Saavedra is an established designer with a reputation for creating exquisitely designed collections. His love for fashion began when he was just a boy growing up in Puerto Rico. At the age of 14, Saavedra secretly took his first sewing lessons with his best friend's mother, eventually surprising his mom with a dress for her he designed and sewed himself. He soon realized that his was devoted to fashion design; so, he headed to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

Soon after finishing his studies at FIT, Saavedra broke into the accessories market, designing his own signature line of scarves. His designs were sold at high-end specialty stores such as Barney's, Henri Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue. Saavedra has worked for numerous iconic luxury brands throughout his career in executive roles. He served as the Creative Director for the London based accessories brand, Lulu Guinness; Head Designer for Kooba Handbags; Vice President of Design for Ralph Lauren Handbags/Accessories, and most recently Henri Bendel as Design Director.

Saavedra has now returned to his first passion of fashion apparel, designing a simple yet stylish and timeless dress with every woman in mind. This clever dress transforms into many unique and sophisticated ways, making it perfect for every occasion and each iteration looks like an entirely new outfit. He calls it the Loop Dress.

Carlos Saavedra currently resides in New York City.
